FlatOut Tips

Linux input layer

Note: I've moved the previous content that was here about setting
up HID devices in linux to my bio page - just click on my name.

With regards FlatOut, I've checked the following linux HID bits;

0. Mouse and/or keyboard (no detail below, as they're fairly obvious how to use)
1. QuickShot Pro  [model QS-206] Analog joystick via gameport (soundcard) input (aka. 'SKYMASTER')
2. 'Generic brand' 2 axis/4 button USB joystick
3  Logitech Precision USB gamepad
4. Xbox USB gamepad for PC

Startup FlatOut and go to the Options=>Controls to make use of HID devices.
Do note: You *may* need to lower control sensitivity and/or deadzone using
analog joystick/gamepad, or it'll drive you nuts in no time -- check my
recently uploaded screenshot for an idea of where settings started to 'make
sense' for me.
