With regards FlatOut, I've checked the following linux HID bits;
0. Mouse and/or keyboard (no detail below, as they're fairly obvious how to use) 1. QuickShot Pro [model QS-206] Analog joystick via gameport (soundcard) input (aka. 'SKYMASTER') 2. 'Generic brand' 2 axis/4 button USB joystick 3 Logitech Precision USB gamepad 4. Xbox USB gamepad for PC
Startup FlatOut and go to the Options=>Controls
to make use of HID devices. Do note: You *may* need to lower control sensitivity and/or deadzone using analog joystick/gamepad, or it'll drive you nuts in no time -- check my recently uploaded screenshot for an idea of where settings started to 'make sense' for me.
