During the installation, Escape from Monkey Island prompts you to switch CDs. You can press the "Eject CD" button in the Crossover software installation wizard. However, this will usually fail to eject the CD. Retrying several times will sometimes work. If it does, the game should launch and run perfectly.
If it doesn't work, you need to copy all the files from both discs to a local folder and run the installation from there. This will not prompt you for the second CD, hence the CD swapping problem goes away. But if you use this workaround, some settings in the registry will be set up incorrectly, and the game will not launch.
Run the CX games configuration tool and select your bottle, click on "configure" and then select the "control panel" tab. Click "run" and type in "regedit" to open the registry editor.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\Monkey4\Retail
Go back to your Crossover Games Setup window and click on "winecfg". Select the "Drives" tab and see which mount point is your CD-ROM Drive. In this example it is D: (linked to /media/cdrom0)
Go back to regedit and change the following entries :
Analyze Path : D:\install\SysCheck.exe CD Path : D:\ Source Dir : D:\ Source Path : D:\
Insert your CD and start the game :)
The game has been tested to run on both version 1.0 and 1.1
