Installer not running if you select cdrom as install source
You may find the installer doesn't do anything if you merely point Crossover at the DVD, in which case you'll need to point Crossover at the setup.exe explicitly.
To do so, from the Crossover Install Software menu select Install Other Game, and click Next. Click Next again, and you'll see a screen with three options, asking you to Select Product Location.
Click the bottom radio button, Other Installer File, and click Browse. In the file browser, navigate to the setup.exe, in my case it was at /media/cdrom/setup.exe. Double click the setup.exe and it will fill in the location for you, in the Other Installer File box. Click Next. Choose a name for your bottle - I recommend 'quakewars' to keep it away from other software you have that may not like any changes you have to make. Click Next.
The installer should then start and you can leave the options it gives you as defaults.
