With CrossOver 5.0 everything works almost great. No more flickering while editing. The toolbox is added to Word (at least with word XP). The only little problem is that the application get tilt if you try to open it twice in a road.(see known issues), but this can be easily solved by checking the box asking "do no ask this again" in the first window when the application starts.
I really recommend to upgrade to 5.0
You should try my workaround (see the other entries). If you run Endnote 7.0 in --verbose mode, you can prevent Endnote from freezing at 99% of the time.
