In CrossOver Office 4.2, eFax Messenger Plus works fine. I have viewed .efx files and sent faxes without any crashing or misbehavior.
Messenger Plus installs and works best if Internet Explorer is installed beforehand. It should be possible to run with the Mozilla ActiveX control as well, but it's a bit messy so I haven't looked into it much.
Occasionally the introductory pages don't render well; this may be an IE problem rather than a Messenger problem.
Sending faxes requires a paid subscription to eFax.
