Serenity software offer a second version of Editor (see http://www.serenity-software.com/pages/new_buy_now.html) which incorporates an add-in for Microsoft Word allowing direct editing in Word. But usage of the add-in requires Word and Editor to be in the same bottle. It does work however as I've proved with Word 2003.
Installation was as follows in this order: Microsoft Office 2003 (creating the Microsoft Office 2003 bottle and all its shortcuts), Office 2003 Service Pack 3 and Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 (both found in CrossOver's own menu, Editor and finally Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (also from CO's menu). Then you install the add-in by choosing a folder installation and browsing to
the EditBoxSetup folder in the bottle and running that. Finally, you need to go to Run Command, select the Office 2003 bottle and browse
to the Editor.exe file and save it to the programs menu. You're done!!
