Fix IE 7 to get E-Tax 2012 internet working with Ubuntu 12.04
Apply this patch from CX IE7 page to get IE 7 and E-Tax 2012 working:
"After installing IE 7 using all defaults on a relatively clean Ubuntu
12.04 system, every time I started Internet Explorer it gave me a save
file dialog and then closed. I tried the
RunOnceHasShown/RunOnceComplete tip (using both string & dword keys)
but no luck. After searching support tickets, I found the following
command in ticket 889054 which fixed it for me:
echo 0 | sudo tee /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope
To make this persistent across reboots, you'll need to change /etc/sysctl.d/10-ptrace.conf to match this line:
kernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0
"
My pre-fill, authetification and lodging all worked fine once this was done :)
