Using a program like dvdbackup or DvdFab that decrypts and copies the contents of a dvd to the hard drive before shrinking and then opening using the open files button seems to work well. Then, you can shrink and save directly to an ISO image file and use some linux program to burn the image, like K3B, or GnoBaker.
