Issues with Patching / Receiving Error During Start-Up
Symptom: If you are receiving a message during game start-up that your client needs patching before you can login, then it exits the game.
Resolution: 1. Attempt to patch using PyLOTRO using the "Tools > Patch" menu option. 2. If it patches, attempt to run the game again and see if everything is working. If it
immediately reports "Finished" rather than patching you will need a copy of a current PatchClient.dll file off of a updated copy of DDO. The easiest way to find this file is to have a Win PC handy with the client loaded and updated. 3. Find a copy of the current PatchClient.dll file, either off a updated workstation, or the Internet. On a updated workstation you will find the file within the DDO directory, normally located under the "Program Files > Turbine > DDO Unlimited" directory on the computer (on a 64-bit WinOS it will be under Program Files (x86) rather than just Program Files). 4. Copy the file into the DDO directory within your Crossover DDO bottle. 5. Launch PyLOTRO and attempt to patch again, it should successfully start patching, if it does not, you may have a incorrect version of the file, make sure the one you found is the most current and try again.
