Dungeon Siege Tips

NOTE: The Digital Rights Management (DRM) software in this program prevents it from running in CrossOver. If you are in a legal jurisdiction which allows removal of such software, you may have luck running this program. Unfortunately, CodeWeavers, because they are subject to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, will be unable to support you.

For Crossover 14.0.3 & 14.1.3 (on a Mac, running Yosemite):
Installation:
Install as an "Other Application" in "Unsupported Applications", using the default CD installer, into a New Windows XP Bottle. Installer should run correctly, asking you to switch to disk 2 about half way through the process.
Update to Version 1.11:
After completing the installation, run the application and (on the main menu) take note of the game version that you are running (usually it is 1.0 at this point). Update the application by doing the following:

1. Download the appropriate free update patch file:
   
   • If you have version 1.0, find and download dungeonsiegeupdate1.0-1.11.1462_english.exe (currently available from http://download.cnet.com/Dungeon-Siege-1-0-to-1-11...)
   • If you have version 1.1, find and download dungeonsiegeupdate1.1-1.11.1462_english.exe
2. Install the update by choosing "Run command..." in the bottle, Browsing to the downloaded file, and choosing "Run"

Game Play:

Aside from the DRM block, all previously existing problems appear to have been resolved. The program appears to run flawlessly in both full-screen mode as well as in an emulated window. Also, the video and audio function properly and even the cursor shows up correctly.
