Dragon Age: Origins Tips

How to Install (in Linux, from DVD)

  1. Create a new XP bottle
  2. Install Runtime Support Component --> Microsoft DirectX Runtime - Modern
  3. Install Runtime Support Component --> Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (or 3.0)
  4. Install Runtime Support Component --> Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (2005 might work too)
  5. Install Runtime Support Component --> Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 6.0 SP1
  6. Manually install the PhysX software. There are a couple of options:
  7. Install Dragon Age. The installer might try to install PhysX anyway, but it didn't affect my installation.
