Dragon Age: Origins Tips

A Fix for Transparent Portrait Faces

Tested on Dragon Age: Origins 1.04 with Cross Over Games Linux 9.1.0 / 9.0 in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64

This should also fix transparency issues on the inventory screen.
  1. Copy the information between (not including) the Start and Stop RegEdit File lines.
  2. Save this into a text document with the extension of .reg (so, filename.reg).
  3. Go to the Cross Over Games menu and select Manage Bottles.
  4. Go to the Advanced tab and click on the Browse C: Drive button.
  5. Browse to windows and find regedit.exe.
  6. Open and run regedit.exe with Cross Over Games.
  7. In Registry Editor click on the Registry menu and select Import Registry File.
  8. Browse to and open the .reg file saved in step 2 above.
  9. Test by loading Dragon Age: Origins, you should now have faces in the portraits and inventory screen.
