1. Install EA App
2. Install DirectX for Modern games
EA App must be running and used to launch Dragon Age II. Launching it directly by its executable will not work, and an small popup "Activation.dll load failed".
DirectX 9 must be used in order to have the game working. By default, DirectX 11 will be used and can cause black screen at startup.
To solve it, it's possible to launch "DragonAge2Config.exe" located on C:\program files\EA Games\Dragon Age II\bin_ship.
- Select "Video" and change Renderer combobox to "DirectX 9".
- Don't forget to save changes with menu "Dragon II / Save parameters" !
