DOORS Tips

Not Enough Memory dialog

If when starting DOORS you get a dialog box saying
Not enought memory available to run DOORS. You may need to close other applications, increase your swap space or add more memory.
Then you may actually do what it says!

I corrupted my swap partition at which point DOORS stopped working and I got the above message. It took a few days to find out that my swap was not activated and when I reset it DOORS started working again.

It only seems to use 40M once it is running but it must check for a stupid amount when it starts up and refuse to run.

(I have 512M ram and a 1024M swap)
