Divinity: Original Sin II Tips

Launching the Steam version

[Note that this game also has a native Mac version.]

Similar to the posted tip about the GOG version, the Steam version too has a problem (on Mac). When laughing from Steam, SupportTool.exe asks you to install .NET core. After downloading and installing to the same bottle (unless I did it wrong), then relaunching from Steam, the same message comes up.

You can launch the game directly from its .exe file. In CrossOver, click "Open C: Drive". The path within is

Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Divinity Original Sin 2/DefEd/bin/EoCApp.exe

You can also create a shortcut using the "Run Command" feature of CrossOver.

When laughing in this way, with Steam open, Steam does see that the game is running. So Steam Achievements and Co-Op may still work.
