"Tested on the steam version only:

The game freezes during the prologue. The rest of the game, however is playable, except for the upgrade screen. In order to skip the prologue, you will need to import a save which has already played the prologue. Yet, you cannot simply import someone else's save, due to steam's way of managing save, the game will not recognize it. I found three ways to do it, unfortunately, all need a PC.

First solution: boot the game once, launch the prologue and have it freeze to create your save file and use Cheat Engine (need a PC for that) to edit your save to access the first mission. Then open the game and boom, it works.

Second solution: Install the game on a PC, do the prologue and use the steam cloud save to play it on Crossover.

Third Solution: I heard of an app called coop trainer which allows you to use other people's save files on your game. I have not tested it with Crossover as I used the Second solution, so try it if you need.

Be aware of the fact that even if you can technically do almost all the game, you still won't be able to upgrade your characters, which means no new moves and no new hands for Nero...
