In COG 8.1.4 Defense Grid doesn't work in fullscreen mode. Install the game. Find the defense grid directory, for me it was (I used steam to install): ~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles/Steam/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/defensegridtheawakening. Open the config.ini file and change the line
FullScreen True
to
FullScreen False
Start the game, which runs now in windowed mode - it should work now.
