Due to the steam not supporting vista/xp anymore we have to select the windows 7 or later as a wine version, This causes the problem because the game was built during the xp era and crashes rarely on newer windows.
We cannot eliminate the problem, but here are the tips to reduce the amount of crashes:
-Do not alt tab or minimize the game - it is one of the most known reasons of game crashing
-Experiment with the in-game graphic settings, in my case the game crashed more on lower settings than maxed out. It should not be a problem currently because most computers can run it on max setting flawlessly
- Save before pausing game, leaving the game on pause screen for longer made my game crash a few times
