When starting in Unity, the launcher doesn't hide but if you press alt and enter it will enter windowed mode. Press alt and enter again and it will enter full screen mode and the launcher will be hidden.
If you press the window key, it will launch the HUD in the background and it will make the graphics flicker and the controls unusable. Just press enter to close the HUD and the game should work okay.
