Crysis Tips

Running GOG version (tested with CrossOver 23, likely works on earlier versions) on M1 device

Install Crysis into Windows 10 64-bit bottle - I've used new, I suspect existing one would work fine if you prefer that.

GOG version launcher seems to be pointing to 32-bit version, so you need to Run Crysis64.exe manually. Use "Run Command", then "Browse", navigate to "GOG Games>Crysis>Bin64" and select "Crysis64.exe", click "Open", then "Run".

After that the game uses some super awkward resolution (540p IIRC) and the mouse has offset that doesn't allow you to "Apply" settings to use higher resolutions.

To fix that you need to navigate to "Documents" (by default CrossOver would map that to you local user Documents folder on macOS), then "My Games>Crysis" and open "game.cfg" file. Set r_Width, r_Height to something better like 1920 and 1080 (or more).

With those steps Crysis (and Crysis Warhead for the matter, just change "Crysis" to "Crysis Warhead" in paths above) is working well on M1 device.
