The installer can take quite a long time to get going. You have to be very patient. During the installer's startup it comes to the top of the display and refuses to allow anything else to show through. Even the process manager cannot come to the top, meaning that it can't be stopped from the Xwindow system. By fortuitous circumstances, I got called away during the install that finally worked. I can't say just how long it took, but several unsuccessful attempts lasted 15 minutes, with the successful one somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes. This is just to get to the point of entering the install options and other startup info. The install itself did not seem to take any longer than on a windoze box.
Once the installer has finished, it will then take about 5-10 minutes to finish up and return control to the crossover istaller. You now have a functioning copy of corelcad installed in the normal place. There are a few issues to deal with, and I will be working with the codeweavers team to iron these out. In the meantime, if you have this app it can be installed and run successfully, complete with some of the glitches that occur in windoze.
