On Ubuntu linux based CrossOver 14.0.1 the graphics in a windowed mode can be always slightly shifted up. So the mouse needs to be below where it actually needs to click.
The easy fix is to go to advanced/options and change to another resolution. Then press no to accepting the new resolution and it reverts to the previous resolution but this time without the upwards shift problem.
