Use Chessbase 9 as originally packaged. Do not update this version. This will allow 90% of Chessbase functionality to work under Linux. The toolbar and menus will work fine. At times, error codes could pop up when heavily using Chessbase. Simply click on no when a restart program option is offered and the program will continue to run fine.
