By default, Carcassonne will display all game texts in german. It is possible, however, to change the configuration in order to switch the language to english, though no option is provided to do so within the game.
To switch the game texts to english, simply go to the directory where Carcassonne was installed. In the case of using a bottle called Carcassonne, installed under the user account, this would likely be:
~/.cxoffice/Carcassonne/drive_c/Program\ Files/Carcassonne/
Open the file Carcassonne.cfg, located there, with any text editor and change the LANGUAGE parameter from 2 to 1. There you go: English interface.
