Capture One Tips

Missing MSCMS.DLL

CaptureOne (C1) needs access to Microsoft's Color Management DLL (mscms.dll) which isn't included in the default WINE installation. The application WILL start if the end user "borrows" mscms.dll from either Win98 or WinXP. However, it still won't work correctly.

C1 installs a bunch of color profile and color management files in the C:\\windows\\system directory, but it can't access them during runtime. I suspect it's because C1 is asking mscms.dll, "Get me the profile for camera XXX" and mscms.dll is responding, "Huh?"

Ultimately the photo gets converted, but its color, white balance, noise reduction, etc, are all wrong.
