7th June 2007: This tip is related to the Apple iMAC
Having installed CrossOver, and then BridgeBase Online, all seemed to work correctly. However, the card suites displayed as red or black crosses, not displaying the hearts / clubs / spades / diamonds that were expected.
It was necessary to install two Windows font files. Specifically, these are "symbole.fon" and "symbol.ttf".
These were installed in the ...\drive_c\windows\fonts directory on the iMAC, which can be found under the CrossOver directory tree, within the individual user's account.
We've even been able to add the BBO application to the task bar at the bottom of the screen, alongside apps such as Finder, Mail and Safari.
All seems to be running well. My mother-in-law is back online, playing Bridge.
I've given BBO a silver rating for the iMAC - the font files needed to be copied across into CrossOver, and it's early days in terms of gauging stability and full functionality.
