If you unfocus the window, Keyboard and mouse inputs stop working, To workaround this follow these instructions:
1. Open the "Wine configuration" option in Crossover.
2. Switch to the "Graphics" tab.
3. Enable the "Emulate a virtual desktop" option.
4. Put in your preferred desktop size, Ideally slightly smaller than your desktop resolution so it fits.
5. Click the "Apply" button then the "Ok" button.
Now you should be able to unfocus and refocus the windows and not lose keyboard and mouse inputs.
