Note: it is advisable to backup your Borderlands bottle before apply any patches.
You can download the latest patches for the disc based release from the following URL ;
http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/games/borderlands/
Installation -- download the patch file and unzip the archive file into a new directory.
Use the 'Run command' function, select the bottle containing Borderlands, and then navigate to the patch installer exe extracted from the above patch archive and run the patch Setup.exe to update the game.
