When using CXG, never be afraid to try some mods, just because it's for mac/linux.
I have the popular "eve of destructions" mod working as well as the iron sights mod, just remember the place you have it installed to find you're root files.
from there go into drive /:C and you can freely mod as you please, the only problems you may have are those mods that come in a installer, although theres usually a manual option.
