Battlefield Heroes Tips

Install instructions:

- Download en install firefox 3.5.2 for windws
- Make an xp bottle and name it Battlefield Heroes
- Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200b2fd9-ae1a-4a14-984d-389c36f85647&displaylang=en
- Install firefox 3.5.1 in the bottle. (3.5.2 doesnt support the launcher)
- Install latest flashplayer for firefox
- Run  firefox and go to the battlefield heroes page: https://www.battlefieldheroes.com/playnow
- Log in and download the BF launcher plugin.
- Install the software (note: it can be that the screen disappears and you think the download is stopped, this may not so, just wait till you see the download speed drops down  in your "taskmanager" .
- Install punkbuster in the bottle. Now the next thing is to download punkbuster htm file  for the recent version of battlefield heroes manually.
http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-heroes.php her you have to download (at the moment) wc002192.htm, and copy the file in the folder PB --> htm. When running the game now you will notice, you wont get kicked by PB. (edit...dunno how..but it worked..now it aint anymore...:'(
- Make sure you run a virtual desktop (do this in managed bottles --> winecfg --> graphic tab) when playing the game at 1024*768, otherwise it may crash at start.

Login https://www.battlefieldheroes.com/playnow with firefox in safemode and hopefully the launcher starts (it will not launch always (well on my mac it isn`t) just try alot or wait a while. (edit: i get it work when clicking loads on the play now button until an error accures and the next time you click play now the game should start...at least on my macbook)
When the launcher starts it will work properly, except the one rendering issue in the game itself  (graphics a bit messed up, you will notice yourslef when playing).
