To remove the disc based DRM used in this title, and the patch the
game files up to the current version, you need to apply 2 patches.
You can do this manually, by going to the following website, and then
downloading the BF2_1.41 and BF2_1.50 executable patches, and installing
them into the Battlefield 2 bottle as you would for any Other application.
