Stampw.exe runs fine under CXOffice except for one major problem!
1. It detects loopback but cannot communicate with the Basic Stamp. I assume this is settings on the serial port and that it could be fixed, but I have not figured it out yet. also I have heard that Linux drives the serial port at a lower voltage level than windows and this WOULD cause this problem due to the way Basic Stamps hardware works, but it could be fixed with a MAX232 serial driver. I do not know if Linux drives the serial port at a different voltage level or not, or if that is physically impossible, but one laptop user said that an eeprom programmer only worked in windows, and that Linux drove his serial port at a lower level.
