Because of the method used for scrolling the game screen (mouse held at the edge of the screen), scrolling the game window is very difficult in a default CXOffice setup. To fix this, open the winecfg control panel for the bottle containing the game, go to the Graphics tab, and check 'Prevent mouse from leaving window'. Ok out of winecfg and try the game again.
