Baldur's Gate Tips

If the launcher crashes

If you have  a problem  with the game's launcher crashing when you click "Play":
  1. Open the the "Run a Windows Command" utility
  2. Select the bottle you installed Baldur's Gate in
  3. For the Command, select C:/Program Files/GOG.com/Baludurs Gate/BGmain2.exe (or equivalent if you're not using the GOG version). 
  4. Click "Create Launcher" to create a menu entry for the command
  5. Launch the game from this new menu entry - it will bypass the game's own launcher and run the game directly.
