If you wish to use the widescreen mod or similar mods to Baldur's Gate II you will need to run the setup files through the command line. After extracting the initial file you should have a setup file and it's associated directory. Use the Run Command from the menu and enter "wineconsole cmd" without the quotes. You will probably be on y or z drive, switch to the c drive (c:) and use change directory(cd dirname) to where the setup file is located (normally within the game directory) then run it as normal.
