I tried Avery Design Pro on CrossOver Linux Professional 7.1.0, in a Win XP bottle. It worked surprisingly well the first time I tried it! I was able to use the templates to generate and print a CD label with picture. Everything worked with only minor difficulties. Tips and Tricks: Don't try to drag the window around. The software app sits in the middle of its CrossOver window, and does not seem to move with the window frame.
Graphics are tricky; I was able to insert a JPEG photo as background to my project with no problem. I saved the project and re-opened it,but no picture was there. When I printed my label first, THEN saved the project, the picture was saved with the file. I can't explain this; its just how it worked out for me.
Summary-- Avery allows free downloading of their labelmaking software from their website, here: http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Templates-&-Software/Software/Avery-DesignPro-for-PC.htm
If you need to make labels, give it a try--
