AutoCAD 2004 Tips

No Tip Title!

One of the problems that I had was that the AutoCAD would start to load, but then not appear. When I was trying to find the cause of the problem, I ran the following commands in a konsole window (must be within your window manager session):

$ cd ~/.cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Program\\ Files/AutoCAD\\ 2004/
$ /opt/cxoffice/bin/wine --verbose acad.exe

This then produces a detailed output of what's going wrong. The problem that I noticed was that it was missing a file 'ac1st16.dll' (which caused me problems when I misread it as 'aclst16.dll' (letter 'ell' instead of number 1) I have included that for search engines :)
