If Game doesn't open after installing DX and VC Redist. (Seems to work for both Mac & Linux)
If the game doesn't open on Crossover Mac after installing it from Steam, there is a workaround. In your Steam library, Right Click on Age of Empires 2 HD -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files ->Double Click AoK_HD.exe. It should work fine.
