Acrobat Reader works well as a standalone viewer. So when you click on a PDF document in your browser, that document will open automatically in a new window.
However Acrobat Reader is not supported as a Netscape Plugin so that functionality is disabled by default. If you notice problems, check that the nppdf32.dll and NPDocBox.dll files are disabled in the CrossOver Setup Plugins tab.
