I was using wine 1.1.17 to install (do not put your CDKey in the installation program, enter it later after you run Photoshop the second time). I'm not sure why but it freaks out if you enter the Key earlier. To run Photoshop my wine version is 1.1.36 (from the wine ppa on sourceforge) and everything works, even the text tool. cxoffice's wine version is 1.1.34 and everything works there except the text tool.
