The toolbar sometimes doesn't take input.
For example, if you have the text tool open and you select the Font family and try to press UP/DOWN arrow to preview different font styles, the value doesn't change or respond to input. You can force it by right-clicking the field, select COPY, then try to press UP/DOWN again. It should take the input. For some reason, Select>Copy, causes the field to respond to input. This should work for any text field in the header toolbar that doesn't respond to input.
