I now have a fully functional windows XP bottle with IE7 and Accuterm 2k2 running.
1) Install Crossover latest version 2) Create a XP bottle 3) Install IE7 4) install Accuterm 5) under crossover select run windows command 6) regedit /tmp/xpfix.reg 7) copy DSSBASE.DLL and DSSSIG.EXE into the windows/system32 directory 8) Enjoy a fully function Accuterm
DSSBASE.DLL and DSSSIG.EXE came from the windows 98 bottle with IE6 installed The dssenh.dll included in the IE7 install is bogus it is just a place holder. The DSSBASE.DLL are older but they allow Accuterm to function and maybe other programs as well.
xpfix.reg contents:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\Defaults\Provider\Microsoft Base DSS Cryptographic Provider] "Image Path"="dssbase.dll" "Type"=dword:00000003 "SigInFile"=dword:00000000
