Install into new XP bottle. Install Direct X Runtime Modern. Launch the Wine Configuration from the control panel in Manage Bottles and make sure that ALSA is checked under the Audio tab. In the program, go into the preferences, make sure MME/DirectX is the driver type and then change the output to default DX instead of default Wave.
