If you are experiencing crashing on start or exit, please set the registry string HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/allow_apple_client_storage = "disable". I can confirm that this works for the GOG version on Linux for crashing on exit, however it should also work if experiencing crashing on start. Thanks goes to Stefan Dösinger for this tip.
