3ds Max 9 installs with last crossover. what u need to do is simple
1- Install dotnet 1.1 & 2.0,direct x 9 & quick time(I prefer quick time alternative 1.6.1), Microsoft C++ 2005, Java 6 & it's update, Internet Explorer 6 or 7 or 8 or alternative, Adobe Flash ActiveX 9 in a same bottle(xp or win7). 2- Install 3ds max same bottle, middle of the installation it will ask u install satallite mental ray renderer, unclick on that & continue installation 3- U will see installation completed. congratulations. 4- After install, don't install anything on that bottle anymore. Test the software. Image sequence rendering works fine. Quicktime render has some bugs. 5- If your view won't work, change graphic mode to opengl or software.
