right after you get done installing everything and you click on "play now" a message comes up saying: "The program insfd22.tmp has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Hi,
That looks suspiciously like something disc based DRM would do ; if
I'm correct there, then this may be one of those CD titles that works
in linux and not on the Mac due to the design/limitations of the Mac scsi
driver. I see over at wineHQ that people have this title working in linux,
and one report mentions installing mfc42.dll (which in crossover is provided
by the Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 redistributable package)...see;

However, I am speculating as I don't have this title myself -- you could grab
a debuglog, gzip it and upload to a free public repo like rapidshare or the like,
and post the download URL back here -- then I could perhaps see a little more
