Steam not compatible with Crosstie

So I am happy to see this is now on steam, but the crosstie is not linked up to the steam installer. Is there a way around that? I tried installing it with the normal steam crosstie without success with a Win2000 bottle, which I perceived that the crosstie is linked to.

We didn't realize it had come to Steam! This has been updated and should be reflected with CrossOver tomorrow if you update your CrossTies.

Thanks, but I just tried it again and it is still asking for the installer source. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you perhaps using a version of CrossOver that is older than 13.1.0?

I am running 13.1.2 for some reason my crossover will not let me upgrade to 13.1.13 regardless of how many times I try. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I just tried the crosstie again where it still asks for the install file.

Is it necessary to use a Win2000 bottle? If not, can you try installing into a WinXP bottle?

Are you asking or suggesting? WinXp is incompatible according to the software.

The crosstie still does not link to the Steam installer. Is there any update on this?

Are you using a version of CrossOver earlier than 13.2? The crosstie was updated on 14-07-2014 according to the timestamp but I think it was tested on the version I mentioned.

I modified the CrossTie so it fails to install from DVD.
