Couldnt get to load

Installation requires MSVCRT.dll in you \Windows\System32 folder (this dll can be found with a quick google)

Once file was in correct location installation went fine.
Tried to load up program however it just sits there trying to load. I am guessing it requires something else to load that it can not find.

OSX Tiger on Macbook

This is the same problem I had. I wrote about this and put it in the "Known Issues".

The problem occurs when trying to load that main interface. In the older versions of Xfire you signed in with a dialog box then it loaded the interface. I tried an older version of Xfire and it signed on and connected without a problem but quit out after that.

Macbook Pro (OSX)

Same install problem and fix as i did. Upon running xfire i get a Runtime error stating that it couldn't find MSVCRT.DLL and then it exits. I copied the DLL to both directories it is found in WinXP and still no luck. Next i'm going to try switching the runtime from win2000 to winXP and see what happens.

Kubuntu AMD64 7.04 on ZT MS1424 Laptop

For me the installation processes only as win98, on the others it says it requires administrator privilidges (didn't get to fix it yet)

ok, I finally installed it correctly. There was an error window mentioning exception in "C:\Windows\System32\mshtml.dll".
I googled it and pasted into the right directory. Now it managed to load (I have an icon in my tray, that's all :s), but the interface still doesn't launch.
For me it looks like it just lacked Windows' HTML engine (although I tried both installing IE and cxo engine)

Trying to install in a XP or 2000 bottle causes a loop stating that you need an admin to do that. Even after forcing the install to end, it will still pop up.

Using Windows 98 bottle, I get the MSVCRT.dll.

I'm going to copy that over next and see if I can get past this :)

This also seems to be fixed as of version 7.1.1.
Please reply if you continue to experience these errors using the current version of Crossover.
