Prior to M1 (Mac) - ran parallels and the needed software (Xactware's Xactimate) - which is the industry defacto for insurance adjusters.
Have M1Pro (Costco 16gb/1TB).
Xactimate ("XM") is 32 bit.
Parallels failed to run due to the ARM windows being 64 bit or something of the sort.
This is my SOLE need in Windows - nothing else.
I've been told to try Citrix VDI - and although the marketing materials seem exceptional - have limited comprehension.
Is there a way to run a 32 bit app for windows on the Mac M1 or M2 (have both). Don't really care what the cost it - just need it reliable.
After most recent response from Parallels - would prefer not to pay them anymore - apparently they took offense to the fact I'm not interested in the fluff - just want to run this ONE program, period. Cancelled subscription after their tech response was a page of marketing about all the great stuff and a "you cannot run 32 bit apps on a 64 bit machine" - if it cannot be done (see 32 bit games run on the internet - taken with grain of salt) - then fine, but hoping someone here can help.
