WoW crashing after it finishes loading from character selection

Hey,
I may have a rather specific loadout to begin with,
5.13.15-1-Manjaro
KDE-Plasma 5.22.5
Platform X11

I use "prime-run crossover" to make use of the laptops gpu,
then I run WoW from the cx launcher and bnet starts, I then start WoW and see the character selection.
I select a character, the game loads, it is stuck at 100% for a while, after which it should show ingame but it crashes with the following error.
(Tested selecting dx11 legacy, dx11 and dx12 ingame)

EDIT: this only happens when using prime-run crossover to start crossover, which causes every program to use gpu instead of cpu, maybe a too old driver or something.

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!
ACCES_VIOLATION
The instruction at "0x00007faf58224952" referenced memory at "0x000000000000001c". The memory could not be "written".

console output is

fixme:d3d12_root_signature_info_count_descriptors: Unhandled unbound descriptor range.

Hi there,

Is prime-run working for other applications that make use of your laptop's GPU?

The error messages you posted are dx12-specific, and running WoW in DirectX 12 mode is not (yet) supported. Can you clarify if you're seeing them regardless of the API you have selected in-game? And can you confirm that your GPU meets the system requirements for WoW?

Best,
Meredith

Okay, got a Laptop with i7-7700HQ with Intel HD 630 + NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 inside.
My brother has the same laptop and played WoW recently and was able to play it raiding on about graphic level 5 smoothly on Windows 10.

When running "prime-run steam", then starting Company of Heroes 2(natively) for example, it runs on gpu, not adding prime-run I get warnings of incompatible graphic card and low fps.

Same goes for crossover, when I start it with "prime-run crossover" the character menu in WoW is smooth, when going without prime-run it lags, it also tells me about changed hardware when switching between these. I did test playing Hearthstone within the WoW bottle with prime-run which worked flawlessly and smooth.

Unfortunately, even with running on cpu wow did crash now with the same access violation as I had before.
Switching to DX12 ingame does not immediatly crash the game though, only after trying to login with the char.

I believe it might be a weird Archlinux/Manjaro quirk by now 😐.
